The Directors of Operations will monitor how the organization carries out daily operations. Work closely with department heads and upper management personnel to identify ways to increase sales, employee retention, or customer satisfaction. Their job is to help upper management promote business growth by maximizing company procedures and its relationship with their customers. They may also be responsible for setting budgets or financial goals for individual departments.
Director of Operations Skills and Qualifications
- Defining, implementing, and revising operational policies and guidelines for the organization
- Developing and executing new growth directives
- Working with the human resources department to create job descriptions, hire competent personnel, and oversee employee training programs
- Liaising with departmental heads to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide operational compliance
- Keeping track of the company’s revenue margins and conduct budget reviews to maximize profits
- Overseeing client support services
- Managing procurement and resource allocation
- Prior resort or hotel management experience
- Rooms division management experience
- Great people skills and attention to details
