The Director of Operations is a key Empire Protector for the growing expansion empire. This Director is the Master of Systems, consistently seeking new, innovative, and efficient business processes that save time and money. As a key leader in the Expansion Hub, the Director of Operations increases the ability of the Hub to process transactions, focusing on generating registrations. This person relishes the opportunity to build, implement, and manage multiple systems, and is seen throughout the organization as the expert on efficiency and systems. This person exhibits a drive to use systems as a strategic tool for creating an advantage for the organization. This individual will have some ability to show patience in finding a solution, though accomplishing the objective is more important for this person than using one specific process.

The Director of Operations is deeply committed to supporting the growth of the Expansion Network Owner and Expansion Director in achieving greater and greater levels of success, and to growing his/her own skills and developing into a supportive leader within the organization. As the success of the business grows, this individual will be responsible for hiring, training, and leading additional department members to ensure all administrative tasks of the Expansion Network Owner’s business continue to be completed to high standards with maximum efficiency

Responsibilities

This position will be accountable for improving customer experience, as measured by Reviews.

  • Build, implement, and manages all systems for transaction coordination, internal communication, client communication, financial management, information management, central database management, and marketing.
  • Keeping track of the company’s revenue margins and conducting budget reviews to maximize profits.
  •  Develop strategic marketing plans.
  •  Manage the day-to-day operations and manage our online and in-person programs.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written communication skills. Seeking a versatile, thoughtful, engaged/engaging, organized, an efficient writer who feels comfortable and confident writing to a variety of audiences (internally, clients/sponsors, teachers, students, alike) for a variety of purposes (press releases, reports, email communications, newsletters, site copy, etc.).
  •  Experience working with learners and a background working in STEM education.
  • Thrive on relationships and you are eager to collaborate with community, colleges and industry partners to ensure programs have rigorous outcomes.
  •  Knowledge of best practices in mentoring, online educational tools, and digital and blended learning methods.
  •  Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work successfully across organizational boundaries to develop and deliver new programs, projects, standards, and plans.
  • Strong organizational and analytic skills.
  •  Deadline and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  •  Ability to lead by example – be a manager and the leading contributor – including the ability to define, produce and execute projects in an independent manner, and possess a strong work ethic and track record for success.
  • Good technical understanding (basic proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and can pick up new tools quickly.
  •  Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Lead development and execution of initiatives through cycles of data analytics, experiment, and rollout. Create timelines, budgets, requirements, and costs for projects and the implementations of business initiatives.
  •  Strong understanding of how to cultivate lifetime customer value and ability to support multi-product approaches to maximize customer value.
  • Desire for a high level of responsibility and ownership.

Qualifications

Knowledge/ Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Masters degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of operations management with a history of organizing teams and completing high-volume tasks.
  • 3+ years of experience in modeling unstructured and complex business problems with operational and financial.
  • Strong understanding of how to cultivate lifetime customer value and ability to support multi-product approaches to maximize customer value.
  • Desire for a high level of responsibility and ownership.
  • Advanced skills with Excel or equivalent required (dashboards, v-lookups, pivot tables), SQL preferred.

Compensation
$40,000 - $60,000
