Our real estate investment company is seeking an experienced construction professional with excellent leadership skills. If you're good at managing general contractors, hiring subcontractors, and maintaining safety and compliance at a construction site, then you might be perfect as our next construction superintendent. Our ideal candidate has 5 years of construction field experience who can supervise all site activities and maintain safety compliance at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Log daily records of progress and repair updates for the project manager and homeowner
  • Submit a plan for homeowners that includes a cost estimate for the job
  • Consult with the project's stakeholders to ensure that the project remains within budget
  • Require complete adherence to health and safety regulations on construction sites to avoid accidents and delays, and report any problems to the project manager as soon as possible
  • Recruit subcontractors and make sure they have all of the necessary permits

  • Confirm that every construction project produces a high-quality finished product, supervise construction workers, execute regular on-site inspections, and provide feedback as needed
  • Discuss the project's costs with clients and make sure the project stays within budget
  • Begin preparing a formal plan for homeowners that has a cost estimate for the job
  • Assess subcontractor progress against timelines and performance targets to ensure that work is completed on schedule and to the highest possible quality
  • Maintain a daily record of project progress and home repair updates for the project manager and the homeowner

Qualifications
  • General contractor's license required
  • Must have a high school diploma, bachelor’s degree is preferred for this role
  • Minimum 5 years work experience as a general contractor needed, with additional management experience being preferred
  • Has basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Superb organizational, leadership, time-management, and communication skills

  • Stamina for operating heavy equipment and lifting 40 pounds or more
  • Florida General contractor's License required

Compensation
$75,000 - $100,000 + bonuses
