Job Summary: WE are excited to grow our insurance carrier relationships across the country. As the Director Carrier Relations, you will be the main contact for all current insurance carrier partnerships and developing new partnerships for personal and commercial lines. This is the rare opportunity for you to lead the growth of our insurance carrier partnerships and our internal team as WE expand nationally. This is a key role for us as WE grow and you will have a huge impact on the business. You will be responsible for developing a strong team, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing carrier relationships, marketing efforts to grow key relationships, monitoring and reporting on each carrier, targeting carrier partners for new geographic markets, gaining new appointments and onboarding new carriers.

Essential Job Functions:

• P&C specialist who is very knowledgeable on P&C markets
• Develop and execute carrier relations strategy
• Monthly update on carrier partnerships to leadership team
• Research and target carriers for new geographic markets
• Personal lines license and experience quoting and binding P&C business preferred
• Gaining access to new insurance markets and cultivating current markets to make sure our agency owners stay competitive in their marketplace
• Developing and executing marketing plans with agency owners to grow quotes and policies bound by agency owners
• Stay informed and communicate carrier appetites and carrier updates with internal team
• Train agents and producers on available markets
• Accomplishes team results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, coaching and praising job results
• Responsible for performance evaluations and monthly quality and productivity profile and feedback to team members

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Personal Lines insurance license
• Strong knowledge of and experience in the P&C industry
• Experience working with or for insurance carrier in a sales and/or agent function
• Project management skills
• Motivator, team builder, strategist, marketer
• Exceptional communication, and listening skills
• Ability to inspire, manage, take initiative, multitask
• Analyze and present data to aid in making business decisions
• Reliable and dependable
• Experience working in Agency Management System (Applied Epic) and raters
• Word, Excel, and SharePoint
