Dress for Success New Orleans' mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. DFSNO is looking for a fundraiser with an eye for fashion, driven to creatively spread awareness of our mission and increase financial support through grants, consignment, quarterly sales, special events, and other various campaigns. The Development Associate / Inventory Manager position is part-time at $25/hour with an estimated 15-20 hours each week, in-person at 1700 Josephine Street, New Orleans. Responsibilities

Development Associate Responsibilities:

  • Donor acknowledgment
  • Grant research, grant writing, and maintain funding calendar
  • Assist in fundraising events
  • Post-event provide thank you letters / tax-deductible receipts to financial and in-kind donors (auction etc.)
  • Develop a monthly giving circle with summer vendor discounts and potential for register percentage giveback to double impact

Inventory Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage in-kind donation collection including Friday donation days and donation drives
  • Provide tax-deductible receipts and donor acknowledgment
  • Convert in-kind donors to financial donors
  • Manage seasonal clothing sales and consignment
  • Lead inventory management volunteers

Qualifications

Required:

  • College degree with work experience
  • Interest and knowledge of fashion
  • Clear and effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and social media platforms
  • Effective time management skills, be able to set priorities and demonstrate organizational skills
  • Be able to work and function in a fast-paced environment


Preferred:

  • Experience with grant writing
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and executing special events
  • Experience managing volunteers or being a team leader
  • Strong listening skills
  • Welcoming personality in all forms of communication
  • Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals

Compensation
$25 hourly
