We’re searching for a personable dental hygienist to join our team! You’ll welcome patients and conduct their initial screenings, perform thorough dental hygiene prophylaxis and periodontal procedures, educate our patients on best health practices, provide preventative therapies, and help dentists with examinations and radiographs. • Conduct initial screenings for patients to understand their oral health history
• Use x-ray machines to take photos of the patients’ teeth so the dentist can clearly identify cavities or other oral health issues
• Disinfect all dental instruments to ensure cross-contamination does not occur
• Document patient visits and keep health records current
• Identify dental issues such as periodontitis, gingivitis, or cavities so they can be treated as soon as possible

• Educate all patients on the best way to maintain oral health, the importance of oral health in relation to general health, proper nutrition, and common dental procedures
• Utilize dental practice management and charting software
• Assist in dental treatment planning and scheduling
• Follow HIPAA and infection control guidelines
• Contribute to office meetings and office projects
• Participate in dental education opportunities provided

• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills
• Clear understanding and commitment to following HIPAA regulations and all safety guidelines

• Must have an associate's or bachelor's degree in dental hygiene
• Have a current license to practice dental hygiene in West Virginia

 We are an experienced patient-centered practice for children and adults. Appointment lengths are scheduled according to individualized patient needs; you will not be required to “sell” dentistry. We offer excellent hourly rate, paid lunch hour, paid continuing education, paid full-time WV license renewal, paid yearly uniform allowance, paid cost of living increases, paid full-time vacation days, merit bonuses, no penalty for patient cancellations or no-shows, 3% matching 401K, full-time medical/dental/eye/life insurance. Additionally, we utilize Dentrix practice management software and digital radiography. Part-time: Monday 8-4:30, Thursday 9:30-5:30, Friday 8:30-3:30 or Full-time: Monday, Thursday, Friday, alternating half day Wednesday/Saturdays 8-1:30. New graduates are welcome and can start the interview process before licensure.
