We are currently recruiting a Dental Hygienist for our Johnson County, KS, US office. This professional will be responsible for providing preventative dental hygiene services to patients, who will benefit from their expertise. The successful candidate will examine teeth and gums, charting and documenting any issues, and then clean teeth, removing bacterial plaque and calculus. Use iTero and Pearl Software to educate the patients They will also take and develop X-rays of the mouth and teeth to diagnose any underlying issues. Finally, they will provide instruction and advice on oral hygiene to our patients with the aim to improve and maintain their oral health. We are searching for a talented Dental Hygienist to join our team. This professional will use their knowledge to offer preventative dental treatments to patients. The ideal individual will inspect the teeth and gums for irregularities, chart any issues, and cleanse the teeth to remove all traces of bacterial plaque and calculus. Additionally, they will take an X-ray of the mouth to determine any underlying problems. Finally, they will furnish our patients with instructions and tips on proper oral hygiene in order to guarantee and sustain their dental health.

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists with determining the best treatment plan for all kinds of dental diseases
  • Conduct initial screenings for patients to understand their oral health history
  • Document patient visits and keep health records current
  • Explain good oral hygiene techniques to patients of all ages, such as thorough brushing and flossing twice daily
  • Complete x-rays of the patient's teeth so the dentist can quickly identify any tooth decay or other oral health issues
  • Check for issues such as gingivitis, periodontitis, or caries so patients can receive care as soon as the problem is identified

Qualifications

  • iTero and Invisalign experience is a HUGE PLUS!
  • Pearl Software to assist in patient education!
  • Associate’s degree and certification in dental hygiene program required, higher levels of education are highly valued
  • 1-2 years of work experience as a dental hygienist
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations
  • State certification/licensure as required to work as a Dental Hygienist, active CPR, and compliance with any other licensing or credentialing requirements

Compensation
$44+ hourly depending on experience and enthusiasm!
