• Examine patients’ dental health and get an overview of their oral health history
• Disinfect all dental instruments to ensure cross-contamination does not occur
• Aid dentists by deliberating the best way to treat a variety of dental disease
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride or other sealants to prevent cavities and tooth decay
• Put patients at ease by talking with them before, during, and after the appointment

• Certified to perform CPR
• Associate’s degree and certification in dental hygiene program required, higher levels of education are highly valued
• 1+ years of experience in dental hygiene work
• Superb customer service and communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations

Metropolitan Dental Arts is a large multi-specialty dental practice in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We currently see PPO and FFS patients and participate in and out of network with multiple insurances.
