Populist Cleaning Co

Populist Cleaning Co. is looking for a full-time Day Porter for one of our customer's business locations in the Tecumseh area. We are continuously on the lookout for excellent individuals that share our passion for the clients we serve and the custodial work we perform!

Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break in between. Starting pay is $14 -$15 per hour based on qualifications.

Populist offers a flexible work schedule, a welcoming environment, and competitive pay for its employees. All necessary training will be provided. $400 Attendance Bonus paid out over 90 days (according to rules).

Responsibilities

• Carry out a variety of cleaning responsibilities (i.e., vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, wiping tables, etc.)
• Keeping restrooms and kitchens clean and stocked with paper items and soap
• Gather all trash and recycling from around the premises in preparation for removal.
• Identify areas for improvement and convey them to a Populist building lead or management as soon as possible
• Speak up if you notice any potential safety or maintenance hazards on a customer's property and notify a Populist Manager about your findings.
• Perform services in accordance with established standards and ensure that the client's facility is properly locked and secured when you finish and depart the premises.
• Carry out special demands for customers that have been requested by a Populist Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet physical requirements (i.e., lift over 5 pounds, repetitive bending, lifting, and reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods)
• Clear and professional communication abilities with great attention to detail
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
