We're looking for someone passionate about providing excellent customer service to our clients and policyholders. As our next insurance customer service representative, you will show our policyholders the value of being one of our customers by generating insurance quotations and providing coverage advice. You'll also be in charge of giving current policyholders excellent customer service by resolving billing issues, amending policies, and making policy suggestions. Responsibilities
  • Validate client insurance coverage and present policyholders with proof of insurance documents
  • Keep track of all customer inquiries and follow up to verify that all questions are answered regarding customer policies
  • Remain up to date on new marketing initiatives to accurately address insurance-related questions using all available tools
  • Respond to incoming calls concerning policy and insurance coverage concerns, as well as customer complaints and general questions
  • Make accurate modifications to consumer policies depending on the information supplied

  • Candidate must be able to collaborate with team members to efficiently and effectively meet client's needs
  • Candidate must be able to professionally interact with clients and carriers
  • Prepare pre-renewal documentation and provide support throughout the renewal process
  • Follow workflow and liaison in processing new policies, renewals, change requests, endorsements, and audits
  • Review Coverage Checklists Endorsement/Audit reviews, facilitating corrections as necessary
  • Create and issue Certificates of Insurance, and Automobile ID Cards, as needed
  • Complete billing tasks as assigned, including Notice of Cancellations/Reinstatements
  • Maintain files in an orderly, up-to-date manner
  • Efficient and timely maintenance of own suspense file for outstanding change requests and correspondence.
  • Participate in seminars and other training for knowledge and skill development
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications
  • Must possess exemplary interpersonal skills, communication skills, and active listening skills
  • Possesses basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and customer database systems
  • Prior work in a customer-facing position or customer service role is required
  • Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of insurance policy procedures and schedules is preferred

  • Possess a working knowledge of Vertafore AMS360 and Applied EPIC
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages
  • Hold a valid license: Property & Casualty

Compensation
$50,000+ annual based DOE + possibly bonus
