After Hours Crisis Intervention Specialist


AHOPE Day Center is the front door to our agency and to the community’s homeless service system. AHOPE provides basic services (showers, mail, phone, storage) and staff that work to build relationships that lead people out of homelessness and into permanent housing. 

The Crisis Intervention Specialist ensures that AHOPE is a safe place for anyone in the community. The After Hours CIS works to ensure that the property remains free of trespassing during the off hours. The CIS uses observation and de-escalation to help maintain AHOPE as a safe space for all clients. The CIS is the point of contact for emergency services and is responsible for notifying emergency services that their service is required.

Schedule and compensation: full-time and part-time shifts are available at a pay rate of $17.30 per hour.


  • The After Hours Crisis Intervention Specialist will monitor AHOPE property while the facility is closed to ensure that no one is on the property while the facility is closed.
  • The CIS patrols the interior and exterior of the day center during closed hours.
  • The CIS completes activity and incident reports at the end of each shift.
  • The CIS secures the building at the end of each shift.

  • The ability to be empathetic and to speak comfortably with individuals from all walks of life is an important part of the position.
  • A strong working knowledge of computers and software such as Microsoft Office and Box, as well as the ability to operate and monitor surveillance software.
