Vidya Brands Group is a newly formed conglomerate that has purchased three companies within the paper and packaging industry and they need a strong cost accountant to create consistency and assist the CFO with ongoing accounting needs mainly dealing with costing within the operations. While previous cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment is required, paper or packaging-specific experience is a huge plus. While this role has some flexibility in location and some ability to work remotely at times, the person must be willing to travel more significantly upfront to learn the operations and help the CFO consolidate the locations on one ERP system (Netsuite). Vidya Brands Group has a small corporate office in Lincolnshire, IL.

• Review expenses and determine allocations within the accounting system
• Review transactions to determine accuracy and correct reporting
• Learn norms and identify transactions that may be miss allocated
• Able to audit plant accounting to determine correctness
• Conduct transactions within the accounting system
• Produce cost accounting reports and understand financial impact of costing
• Follow accounting policies and procedures
• Able to set standard costs and understand bills of material

• Must possess exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field

•  5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment required, muli-location preferred
• Netsuite experience a huge plus
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to policies and procedures
• Experience working with ERP systems specifically implementation is preferred
