Levin Rinke Realty is looking for an experienced Controller for its Pensacola Beach, FL location. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for overseeing general bookkeeping tasks and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. 

Responsibilities

Primary duties:

  • Manage the accounting department (2 person team)
  • Payroll processing, including quarterly and year-end filings
  • Processing and paying sales tax
  • Completing year-end forms and tangible tax returns
  • Processing daily commission checks
  • Reconciling accounts for multiple companies, including vendor accounts
  • Processing accounts receivables and accounts payables
  • Assist with other accounting/bookkeeping related tasks as needed

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • At least 3 years of experience using QuickBooks
  • Experience in A/R and A/P processing, payroll preparation, year-end tax reporting
  • Familiarity with HUD closing statement is a plus
  • Developing and Implementing Accounting Department Procedures

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong financial reporting skills
  • Advanced proficiency using Excel
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Results-driven problem solver
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to assist with the implementation of process improvements within the financial and accounting function
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
