Do you love finance? Our company is rapidly expanding, and we’re in need of a part-time Controller!

This person will work about an average of 30 hours a week. You’ll keep our financial records organized by reviewing accounts payable and receivable and preparing detailed account reconciliations.

Our ideal candidate is someone who loves putting things in order and wants to take charge of implementing efficient accounting protocols. As a successful corporate controller, you should demonstrate in-depth knowledge of financial management principles and extensive experience in a similar role. A first-class corporate controller will be someone whose expertise translates into optimized financial operations and increased profitability.

The focus of this job is on producing high-quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential, requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. • Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses
• Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions
• Prepare for quarterly reporting using standard best practices and complete monthly closings
• Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
• Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
• Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
• Post detailed journal entries to the general ledger to streamline the reconciliation process
• Communicate with all vendors, partners, and staff regarding payments and financial records to ensure bills are paid promptly
• Performing internal audits and financial risk assessments, as well as facilitating intervention strategies
• Input records into the computer to make sure financial data is filed accurately

• The ideal candidate has 2 to 5 years of experience in the field
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required, Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
• Proficient with Quickbooks accounting software- also must have a working knowledge of the standard financial analysis software used in the industry, as well as knowledge of general software used by businesses and corporations (such as Excel) is necessary
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Management and leadership Skills- delegation of work to subordinates and the subsequent aggregation of their results is a significant aspect of the controller’s duties
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail
• Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations
• Superb organizational and time management abilities
• Able to work well with senior executives and team
