Fast growing Lee County (FL) company is seeking a highly motivated hands-on controller to work in the corporate office. This is a family owned, privately held 10-year-old company.

The controller will lead the accounting team located in our HQ office in Ft Myers, Fl. Hands-on knowledge in all areas of corporate accounting is required.

This person will report directly to the president, be a part of the executive team, manage the accounting staff of 5 and collaborate with the other division managers. Compensation of $85,000 - $110,000 (depending on experience) plus bonuses, as well as a generous benefits program including health insurance, retirement benefits, paid vacations, and paid holidays, is included. If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, apply today!

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions.
• Management of the accounting staff of 5.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, and a thorough understanding of the GL processes.
• Oversee and manage A/P and A/R and treasury functions (cash flow).
• Work with the other division managers to help improve overall company performance.
• Coordinate with the outside tax accountants in completing annual tax returns.

• High-level working knowledge and expertise with QuickBooks.
• 5 years experience managing an accounting department and being a controller.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proficient utilization and working knowledge of Excel.
• AA or BA in Accounting is helpful, but not required.
• Able to come to and work in an office. This is NOT a remote job.
