We are looking for a skilled and experienced leader who can build and implement an innovative and impactful content marketing strategy. The person will create compelling content-focused campaigns for our demand generation marketing initiatives and brand. You'll play a pivotal role in driving content production and strategy building. You will report directly to the Director of Content and Communications and work closely with the Creative Director, Senior Director of Marketing, Director of Demand Generation, and stakeholders of programs in each department.

Responsibilities
  • Drive the content marketing strategy to communicate our product and solutions to our target audiences, and ultimately drive revenue
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the hiring process, including vertical-specific nuances, and WizeHire’s products to determine how we can best support small business owners at each stage of their journey
  • Build and customize a holistic content program for our target audiences, from creation to distribution that generate organic reach and conversions 
  • Create content around targeted keywords and optimize copy for search engines (SEO) while remaining on brand and telling a story
  • Collaborate with internal and external thought leaders and stakeholders to develop and distribute content that spreads awareness of WizeHire’s brand among our target audience, builds an engaged audience of small businesses, and helps them manage everyday hiring challenges
  • Conduct topic research and create content calendars to plan new and evergreen content that aligns with our customers’ language; including, long- and short-form blog posts, whitepapers, press releases, case studies, infographics, presentations, sales collateral, video scripts, and more, to be distributed across multiple marketing channels
  • Work with our managing editor to identify contractors that can deliver high-quality content that is laser-focused on our target audience, builds our brand, establishes our authority, and drives specific actions
  • Use data to inform our content strategy and measure the impact of our content on customer acquisition and brand awareness
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a content leadership role
  • Experience building and scaling a large content program
  • Ability to think holistically about content marketing’s role at all stages of the customer journey and using multiple mediums
  • Understanding of SEO best practices to write creative copy that includes effective keyword placement
  • Ability to make complex, sometimes tedious topics simple, engaging, and fun
  • You are a natural storyteller with strong writing and editing skills
  • Strong analytical chops; you can quickly iterate on which content resonates with our audience
  • A mentorship mentality: You have experience in, and enjoy, inspiring a team
Compensation
$90,000
