Construction Superintendent

Our dynamic construction company is looking for an experienced construction superintendent to plan and manage our projects. You’ll be in charge of managing general contractors, hiring subcontractors, and maintaining safety and compliance at the construction site. We are looking for someone with 5 years of construction field experience and a passion for managing others.   • Ensure that each construction project produces a high-quality finished product, manage construction workers, conduct routine on-site inspections, and provide guidance as needed
  • Consult with the project's stakeholders to ensure that the project remains within budget
  • Minimize injuries and delays on building projects by requiring complete attention to health and safety standards, and report any issues to the project manager when they occur
  • Begin preparing a formal plan for homeowners that has a cost estimate for the job
  • Maintain a daily record of project progress and home repair updates for the project manager and the homeowner

  • Ensuring safety is paramount and safety procedures are incorporated and followed at all times
  • Leading and managing the on-site construction team
  • Assisting in the development of project schedule and budget, becoming familiar with, and ensuring adherence to them
  • Ensuring quality standards are met
  • Placing orders for materials, and being responsible for equipment and materials on site
  •  Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met
  • Maintaining thorough records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and Request For Information

  • Current general contractor license
  • 5 years of prior experience as a general contractor is required for this position; additional management experience preferred
  • Excellent leadership, time-management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Physical stamina to lift at least 40 lbs and use heavy equipment
  • A high school diploma is required, bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Ability to interpret and build according to drawings (reading blueprints), specifications, and other documents
  • Excellent communication, follow up, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • We will consider the experience in lieu of a college degree
  • Travel expected over 80% of the time
