Responsibilities
  • Implement systems to organize tools, vehicles, and equipment, and schedule maintenance for them if necessary
  • Plan and schedule the entire construction project, including construction operations and timelines to make sure project deadlines are met
  • Communicate the status of the building project to key stakeholders by providing regular progress reports
  • Clarify the scope with clients, engineers, construction managers, and architects to produce an accurate list of project specifications, including manual labor needs and necessary materials
  • Ensure teams work to follow all health and safety standards to prevent injuries and obstacles to project completion, and quickly report any safety regulation issues

  • Establish projects’ scope of work, schedules and budgets and coordinate permitting and material ordering Manage subcontractor selection process (RFPs, negotiations, and agreements)
  • Manage project superintendents and subcontractors to ensure construction plans are executed and milestones are met
  • Implement and perform quality control checks for our crews and subcontractors
  • Lead weekly on-site project meetings with crews to review 3-week look ahead schedules
  • Manage inspection process and establish a positive working relationship with inspectors
  • Ensure all safety standards are followed by DHB’s crew and subcontractors
  • Conduct weekly progress meetings with the management team, providing budget and schedule updates, manpower needs, risk analysis, etc.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in construction management
  • Four-year college degree in engineering, construction management, or other similar fields
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry and entire building process, including building codes, blueprints, permits, construction equipment, material resources, construction processes, and project management principles
  • Familiarity with construction project management software is highly valued
  • Superb leadership capability, organizational skills, time-management abilities, and communication skills
