We are looking for an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost and labor estimates
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain materials and services at the most competitive prices
• Work closely with clients and homeowners to understand the scope of the project and ensure estimates are accurate
• Use computer software to prepare cost and labor estimates
• Monitor changes in materials and labor costs to ensure estimates are current
• Prepare estimates for multiple projects simultaneously
• Troubleshoot and solve problems that arise during the construction process
• Exercise creative thinking when devising construction solutions
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification from the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) is preferred
• 3 years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is necessary
• Knowledge of data and risk analysis, research methodology, accounting, and estimation metrics is critical
• Requires critical thinking, analytical skills, and very strong math skills
• Exceptional time-management, project management, and communication skills are essential

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in residential construction estimating
• Knowledge of building materials and construction methods
• Proficient in computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite
