We're looking for an ambitious individual to oversee the assembly and fabrication of our shower doors. This job has two major components. First, you will be responsible for calculating the sizes of glass panels from measurements provided by our field crews. You will then enter these sizes into our system for fabrication. Secondly, you will oversee a group of fabricators who assemble all of the components and get the shower door prepared for installation.

Opportunities for vertical advancement or lateral movement exist as well.

• Learn all of the parts and pieces. Learn all of our proprietary rules for calculating glass sizes
• Interface with the measuring crew to receive and understand their field drawings and measurements
• Using software similar to CAD, produce drawings and calculate the exact sizes of glass panels from the measurements
• Monitor our purchasing system to schedule the assembly of shower door parts based on arrival dates
• Coordinate with department schedulers to schedule assemblies based on customer needs (install dates)
• Train newly-hired fabricators on assembly processes
• Work with your assembly crew to improve productivity
• Document processes and field learnings in a central knowledge repository
• Work to reduce process variations and mistakes

• Must have exceptional organizational abilities including the ability to prioritize and be flexible
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail
• Must be able to perform heads-down focused glass size calculations and must be able to perform assembly scheduling multitasking
• Construction industry experience is preferred but not required.
• Must demonstrate the ability to understand spatial geometry
• Must demonstrate the ability to perform calculations using simple fractions
• Must have a desire to be constantly improving
