Responsibilities
- Secure on-site material deliveries, prepare materials for returns, fill out purchase orders, remove debris, and handle waste removal properly
- Take part in the forward planning process to ensure the building will be well-maintained in the future
- Adhere to all safety guidelines on job site and immediately report any incidents or violations of work rules to supervisor
- Document job changes and daily construction work tasks to assist the project manager with paperwork
- Clean the job site and water the yard as needed to maintain a good exterior appearance
- Effectively manage your schedule to complete several time-sensitive tasks on a daily basis
- Conduct solar site assessment for prospective customers using a smartphone and provide surveying equipment within the designated timeframe
- Install energy efficiency kit which includes a smart thermostat and LED light bulbs
- Work with local municipalities to submit and retrieve documents necessary for successfully completing the permitting process prior to system installation
- Turn on the solar system once the installation is complete and collect customer feedback. Fix common inverter problems that may occur upon energization
- Coordinate remotely with our permitting project coordinator and field operations manager
Qualifications
- Display a strong work ethic, professionalism and teamwork, and a history of regular attendance at work and adherence to project schedules
- Able to work outdoors for long periods of time, and be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Previous work experience as an admin or in the construction industry is valuable but not required
- Understand some basic skills and construction methods and know how to use some construction tools and equipment
- Possess a clean driving record and valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of varied backgrounds and ability levels
- Effective time management between several different responsibilities
Compensation
$17 - $20 hourly
