Our rapidly-growing construction company is in need of a creative, full-time CAD designer to bring our client’s dreams to life! You’ll serve as our primary architectural drafter and produce original, computer-generated designs in 2D and 3D. Additional responsibilities include meeting with company executives and engineers, integrating feedback, and revising designs as requested. Communication skills are a must in this role, as you’ll be regularly communicating the design progress to the construction team. • Do simulations and stress tests on all 3D models before prototyping
• Revise designs according to feedback from clients and construction managers
• Create budgets and timelines for the design project by working with other construction team members
• Utilize computer software to generate 2D and/or 3D designs, depending on the project specifications
• Communicate progress to superintendents and project managers, so they know when designs are finished

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in architectural design
• Advanced knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion
• 2-year degree or equivalent experience in architecture, design, construction engineering, or related field is desired
• Have great attention to detail, with strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Be informed about the latest trends in design software and have a good understanding of the architectural design industry as a whole
