We are growing and in need of a D.O.T. and Fleet Administrator for our VSS International, Inc. facility located in West Sacramento.

The ideal candidate will be a natural at building relationships, have impeccable organizational skills, and take our compliance department to the next level. Our D.O.T. and Fleet Administrator will help manage internal and external compliance reporting, provide compliance advice and assistance, conduct compliance investigations, and manage ongoing education programs. The ideal candidate will monitor and assist in the enforcement of DOT and FMCSA regulations to ensure compliance. The candidate will be expected to prepare for and assist with any D.O.T.-related audits.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain driver qualification program to ensure drivers are fully trained and in compliance with regulations.
  • Stay current on all state and federal DOT rules, regulations and legislation to ensure the company is in full compliance at all times.
  • Oversee driver qualification system data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure all investigations and reports of accidents, near misses, and work observations are completed in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Ensure that all FMCSA programs and reporting meet FMCSA requirements.
  • Obtain and renew all registrations, titles, and various plates.
  • Maintain equipment files and truck binders.
  • Track and renew all permits.
  • Oversee Fastrack and Prepass accounts.
  • File quarterly and annual IFTA reports.
  • Track BIT program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education experience.
  • 1-3 years of DOT compliance and/or fleet administration experience (helpful).

Compensation
$26 - $30 hourly
