Our busy company is seeking an experienced construction estimator to join our team of construction professionals. We need someone with strong math skills and excellent communication skills to write proposals, cost estimates, and detailed takeoffs on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in estimating or project management. Responsibilities
- Revisit previously submitted proposal and budgets with clients
- Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole
- Prepare estimates, written proposals, budgets, costs, and updates for clients and project managers
- Visit construction sites to obtain necessary client requirement information
- Estimate time, labor, construction materials, and product costs to determine overall cost for construction projects
Qualifications
- Exceptional time-management, project management, and communication skills are essential
- Bachelors’ degree in civil engineering, accounting, construction management, or related field is required
- Current Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification from the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) is desired
- Three years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is needed
- Analytical skills, critical thinking, and very strong math skills are essential
Compensation
$50,000 - $58,000 yearly
