The Commercial Door Technician is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial doors, including but not limited to garage doors, rolling steel doors, and sliding doors. The technician will work on a variety of commercial properties, including warehouses, retail stores, and other businesses.

• Install new commercial doors according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes
• Repair and maintain existing commercial doors, including replacing broken or worn parts and adjusting door functions
• Troubleshoot and diagnose door issues and provide repair recommendations
• Perform routine maintenance on commercial doors, including lubrication and cleaning
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Keep the work area clean and organized
• Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date on new products and techniques
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2+ years of experience as a commercial door technician preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Experience with various types of commercial doors, including garage doors, rolling steel doors, and sliding doors preferred
• Knowledge of local building codes and industry standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
