The Coating Inspector is responsible for the completion of all activities in his area of assignment in accordance with the appropriate Company specifications and the approved for construction drawings. The inspector receives frequent instruction and direction from his superior and the work of the inspector is checked on a frequent basis by the Chief Inspector or delegate. The inspector is not to inspect work he is not qualified to inspect.

The minimum qualifications include a minimum of two years of experience in the application in inspection of coating or NACE CIP level 1 certification or SSPC PC1 level 1 certification. Additionally the position must meet the basic qualifications of a Utility Inspector (basic inspector). A degree is not required.
