The Clinical Therapist will provide outpatient mental health counseling services for individual clients at In Bloom Counseling PLLC. Therapy services include treatment of children, adolescents, parents, and/or families. We are currently looking for therapists or counselors to work primarily with children and their parents/caregivers. 


  • Perform on-site clinical counseling services to clients of In Bloom Counseling, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies
  • Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to work is required
  • Proper licensure and compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for In Bloom Counseling
  • Respond to clients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the In Bloom Counseling website. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients
  • Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary
  • Timely completion of written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake bio/psycho/social documentation, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by In Bloom Counseling or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week). Keep client files accurate and up to date
  • Charge and collect payments from clients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by In Bloom Counseling
  • Attend staff meetings and training as directed by In Bloom Counseling
  • Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the good will and reputation of In Bloom Counseling. Be respectful of and cooperative and collaborative with co-workers
  • Formal and informal collaboration with In Bloom Counseling staff and clinicians regarding case conceptualization, skill refinement, and treatment planning
  • Other duties may be assigned, including but not limited to creating content for blog posts, attending networking functions, and other related marketing necessities


  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work; and
  • Active, unrestricted provisional (LPC) or full license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LCPC) in the State of Illinois. A copy must be provided to In Bloom Counseling
  • Available to hold at least a minimum of 10 client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by In Bloom Counseling. Opportunity to grow to a full-time position based on mutual need is also available
  • Be organized and detail-oriented
  • Align with In Bloom Counseling’s mission, vision, and values
  • Must be punctual in reporting to work
  • Be a team player; be interested in collaboration, and participating in group (and/or individual supervision when necessary). Be open to giving and receiving feedback
  • Be able to work independently on tasks assigned
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Have experience with child-aged clients (via advanced education in child development and play therapy interventions) and their parents
