At Grow Through Life Counseling, our clinical managers work as managers in both administrative and direct care capacities to ensure that the location they manage runs smoothly. The duties of our clinical manager include managing clinical, professional, administrative, and support team staff; managing the recruitment, development of, and appraisal of clinical staff; overseeing day-to-day management; developing and implementing policies and directives; setting and monitoring budgets; attending meetings; handling communications; and purchasing decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Case consults as needed by licensed staff - add to the chart notes 
  • Clinical Supervision (pre-licensed staff) - document as appropriate
  • Oversee non Clinical Manager Clinical Supervisors (if applicable at location) 
  • All letter requests 
  • CPS or other breaches reviews
  • Safety concerns and how they are managed 
  • Manage Office Supplies Needs: items such as pens, cleaning supplies, masks, hand sanitizer, snacks, clipboards, paper ink and printer paper, shredders, manage cleaners onsite  
  • Reference Operations Manual (Google Docs) for current policies and procedures and suggest changes as needed 
  • Mail: check mailbox regularly and discard junk mail, process any snail mail
  • Email: communicate with team in a timely and effective way; respond to non-urgent items with 72 hours or sooner when possible (often) 
  • Text messages: available via Text from clinical staff for emergent matters and respond in a timely way (rarely)
  • Manage Room Schedules (Google Docs)
  • Update Staffing report with therapist openings (Google Doc) for intake to be aware of who is taking new clients and what priority to book in your location
  • Review and approve notes of new licensed staff for the first 90 days for licensed staff (pre-licensed sent to clinical supervisors) 
  • Ongoing training support for staff and ensure office policies are followed (Covid and otherwise) 
  • Conduct staff performance 90-day reviews 
  • Conduct annual performance reviews 
  • Approve time off, schedule change requests processing, sick time
  • Hiring (varied hours per onboarding) (schedule with current onboarder/trainer) 
  • Interview, hire and onboard new staff to the location when staffing needs require (less than 25 openings for care at your location) 


Qualifications

Experience:

  • Counseling youth and loving this work: 2 years (Required)
  • Willingness to work with couples (preferred)
  • Experience with military populations (preferred) 
  • Ability to clinically supervise and/or desire when able to (preferred) 
  • Team player (required) 
  • Bilingual (preferred)
  • Telehealth experience (preferred)
  • Prior management experience of licensed clinicians
  • Ability to multi task
  • Attention to detail
  • Available as needed for urgent matters
  • Experience as effective outpatient provider

Compensation
$80,000 - $95,000
