Cool part-time, seasonal job selling cheese at local farmers' markets. Pay is $17+ per hour. The farmers' market season runs from May through October. We're looking for people who enjoy working independently, talking with people, love great cheese, and are really dependable.
A typical farmers' market day involves waking up early, going to our shop (Green Bay), loading the van with cheese and market supplies, driving to market, selling cheese at your market from around 8 am until 12 pm, driving back to the shop, and unload. A typical day is 8 to 10 hours, depending on market duration and drive time. Some heavy lifting is involved. (Cheese is heavy!)
Weekend market positions are needed, but a few weekday shifts are available. If you're interested, please send an email and tell us a little about your background and interest. The farmers' market community is filled with really great folks, so if you're one of those, we'd love to hear from you. It's an enjoyable gig, great for someone looking for something outdoors on the weekends.
