CNA Day Shift 06:00-18:00
Our growing company is seeking friendly and empathetic healthcare professionals with a passion for helping others in a direct-care role as certified nursing assistants. If this sounds like you, we may have the job you're looking for! As a CNA, you will assist patients with daily care needs and work directly with an RN or LPN. You’ll also record patient vitals and note any changes in behavior, complaints, and symptoms to the registered nurse. • Help patients with basic care including bathing, dressing, going to the restroom, eating, and taking proper medication dosages on a daily basis
• Convey relevant patient data and information to supervising nurse, family members, and other facility staff as needed
• Record patient vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level
• Work with patients on regular exercise as needed to maintain their mobility level and physical health
• Sanitize and clean patient’s room by rotating sheets, bedpans, and performing general room cleaning

• Capable of administering catheters and enemas, preferred, but not required
• Completed the state-approved CNA training program and received CNA certification from a medical facility, vocational school, or community college
• Be able to use computer database and software programs to accurately record patient history
• Previous experience handling bedridden patients with age-related diseases such as Alzheimer's and Dementia preferred
• Exceptional communication skills in working with patients and families to maintain positive relationships

Canyon Creek was established in 1999 by Darren Vierck RN (me!) We are a six-room care facility with an emphasis on the ventilator-dependent population. Our clients have a variety of complex medical diagnoses, including spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, end-stage COPD, chronic respiratory failure, etc. With a caregiver-to-client ratio of 2-6, we have the luxury of time to focus on quality care. Not to say that it doesn't get busy, it does; but it's manageable. Anyone who has worked in an institutional setting will have an appreciation for this. We have a great team and work very hard to maintain a solid standing in the medical community, for over two decades.
