POSITION SUMMARY
Receive and process insurance premium payments.  Provide customer service to insureds via phone, email, or other forms of communication.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Promptly respond to calls/emails from internal and external customers regarding billing questions
  • Ensure interactions with customers reflect positively on the company
  • Take payments over the phone for insureds
  • Receive and post payments, from lienholders and insureds to policies with accuracy
  • Adhere to turnaround standards while maintaining quality and notify the Accounts Receivable Supervisor if those are not being met
  • Identify and report any customer pain points to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor
  • Review and mail outgoing paperwork
  • Update or add new lienholders to the system and/or policy
  • Handle mortgagee requests
  • Report system issues to production support and includes Accounts Receivable supervisor
  • Help cover vacations and/or jump in to assist other cashiers that are behind on meeting standards
  • Rotate working a late shift a couple of times a month
  • Update bank information listed on a policy
  • Handle PARC requests from the field offices
  • Provide explanations of billings to customers and balance accounts as necessary
  • Provide breakdowns of policies to customers
  • Reinstate/rewrite policies based on payments
  • Handle collections with our 3rd party processing company participate in team meetings
  • Research return mail including lienholder documents and disbursement checksTest updates or new functionality that need to be released
  • Notify supervisor when additional training is needed implement performance feedback changes given by supervisor
  • Miscellaneous tasks as directed

SKILLS ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
Some College: Preferred
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based programs.
Experience: Insurance or Accounting experience preferred. Keyboarding, and phone skills are preferred.
Other Requirements: 10 Key adding machines by touch.

Compensation
$13 Hourly
