Our team is searching for a full-time Assistant Manager in the Columbia, SC area. An Assistant Site Manager is the site manager’s right hand for team member support and site performance management. They are crucial in the alignment and implementation of company values and policies in everyday operations. They lead team members by the example of their own behavior and hard work. The pay range is $15 - $16 based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team members and site operations in the absence of the site manager.
  • Work directly with the site manager to oversee the operation of the car wash.
  • Assist the site manager in diagnosing and repairing equipment.
  • Implement, monitor, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and reliability of the wash.
  • Assist with the coaching, training, and development of new and existing team members.
  • Promote the use of and assist customers with the Hurricane Express Wash mobile app and memberships.
  • Support quality and excellent customer service through the daily management of team members and site programs.
  • Effectively answer all customer questions and handles complaints in the absence of the site manager.
  • Ensure daily opening and closing are on schedule and standards and procedures are maintained.
  • Promote a safe and positive work environment while effectively following site safety guidelines.
  • Display willingness or enthusiasm to be active outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions for periods of time.
  • Support Point-of-Sale system operation
  • Demonstrate ability to train and develop team members.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of XPT operations, functions, and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant and/or management experience
  • Experience in the car wash industry (preferred)
  • Ability to lift at least 35 lbs. and stand consistently for up to eight hours at a time
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (required)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (preferred)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive
  • A keen eye for detail/safety mindset

Compensation
$15 - $16 hourly
