In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Working with the attorneys to manage their caseload of business law cases (including Entity Formation, contract drafting, business purchases/sales, etc.)
• Collaborating with the firm Estate Planning attorney(s) and paralegal(s) of the firm on business succession, estate, and tax planning matters for business owners
• Reviewing and assisting in preparing legal documents, such as Operating Agreements, Bylaws, business contracts, leases, and other entity documents; purchase and sale agreements, title reports, due diligence documents, and other documents, as well as managing various transactions (commercial property purchases and sales, business purchases an sales, etc.)
• Filing regarding trademark applications and trademark maintenance filings
• Assisting to increasing firm efficiency and development of processes and procedures
• Performing additional related duties as assigned

To be considered for this role, you will have the following qualifications:

• Must have completed an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program such as an Associate’s degree or proprietary school program in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree desired
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong desire to help others
• Experience and comfort with various technology platforms, such as Wealth Counsel, Practice Panther, Lawyaw, Lexis Nexis, CaseText, and others
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, and exercise discretion and good judgment
• High attention to detail with strong research skills
• Minimum of 5+ years of in-depth experience as a paralegal, preferably in the area of Business Law
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, and must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
