Elite Austin is a local Austin design company specializing in home staging, furniture rental, and design services. We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to add to our energetic and fun team. We have a collaborative work environment and value work-life balance. We offer mileage reimbursement and you will be working in and around Austin. No nights, weekends, or business trips.

As Business Development Manager at Elite Austin, you will have great sales potential as you network and generate qualified new business opportunities using exceptional relationship-building skills. Your role will include driving increased revenue, gross profit and working with the client services team to close opportunities within assigned accounts.

The ideal candidate is sales and business-minded with a positive attitude, an excellent communicator with leadership abilities, project management skills, a meticulous eye for organization and detail, and loves working with people. Previous experience or an interest in interiors, design, and real estate is essential to be able to communicate the value of our services.

Schedule and Pay

  • Full-time position
  • Benefits include paid holidays, vacation time, extra PTO if you are sick, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, 401k, and parental leave
  • 40 hours per week within the timeframe of Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 5 pm
  • Compensation: $85,000+ (including base salary and on-target earnings commission)

  • Ideally have 2 or more years of professional experience with sales/business development experience
  • Marketing, branding, or sales skills are a big plus

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a consultative approach to understand leads and client’s projects and challenges, suggesting appropriate solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients within assigned accounts to maximize our potential and sales
  • Conduct large volumes of prospecting by phone, email, participating in industry events, and other creative ways
  • Generate high-quality leads through persistent outreach
  • Methodically follow up with all prospects and leads
  • Qualify potential clients during the sales process
  • Develop relationships with high-producing agents, real estate firms, builders, and apartment/condo buildings
  • Coordinate and participate in industry events, tradeshows, networking, etc.
  • Organize presentations, marketing materials, and data for meetings and presentations; assure information is up to date and Elite Austin branding guidelines are being followed
  • Research and stay up to date on industry trends
  • Present and sell Elite Austin at meetings and presentations
  • Exude confidence in educating leads and clients about our available services and the value we provide
  • Sell and close leads on our services and guide customer relationships until handed off to the client services department
  • Manage prospects, leads, and client account data in Salesforce and keep lead pipeline up to date
  • Ensure all information is transferred internally to proper departments when a lead is ready to move forward
  • Build strong relationships with clients, provide amazing service, communication, and repeatedly exceed expectations to help generate new and increased business
  • Properly set, manage and fulfill potential client expectations
  • Resolve challenges by proposing solutions and working with the Director of Client Services to solve any issues
  • Provide weekly updates to the team
  • Effectively communicate with leadership, sales client services, design, and logistics departments to achieve successful outcomes
  • Actively check and participate in Slack communication and provide relevant information to the team via Slack when appropriate
  • Respond to Slack messages and communications during business hours
  • Provide key updates throughout the day/week and notify of any problems or issues
  • Participate in team meetings and company culture events
  • Assist in continually improving processes and procedures to increase quality and maximize efficiency
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by seeking continuing education opportunities

Qualifications

We are looking for the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional experience preferably with a focus on sales and business development, lead generation, and relationship management
  • Positive attitude, action-oriented executor; ability to think outside of the box and problem-solve effectively and efficiently
  • Must have excellent writing and strong verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail with proven organizational abilities; ability to prioritize and excellent time management
  • Proficient with Apple products, Microsoft Office, and CRM software (Salesforce)
  • Professional appearance
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Work in our Austin warehouse/office space as well as off-site for meetings/presentations
  • Ability to withstand stressful situations and meet demanding deadlines

Compensation
$85,000+ OTE
