Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Carolinas Realty has an opening for a Business Development Coordinator position in our Greensboro office. The Business Development Coordinator will counsel clients and coordinate the relocation process, assigning a sales agent and performing administrative activities to ensure a superior client experience. Additionally, the coordinator will research business development prospects and provide weekly updates to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Referral Management (55-60%)
  • Field leads for incoming and/or outgoing referrals, assess client needs, respond to inquiries, and counsel clients throughout the relocation process
  • Assign sales associate
  • Facilitate communication between all parties and routinely follow up with client and sales agent
  • Establish and foster relationships with other coordinators in the RELO® network to expand company exposure and facilitate referral if the client is outside of the company’s service areas
  • Support agent with securing listing paperwork, et al
  • Facilitate closing arrangements, final billings, and commission payouts
  • Maintain records, database, and client files, and generate reports
  • Schedule meetings and perform general office tasks
  • Handle correspondence, support other relocation staff, and assist with special projects
  • May prepare newcomer packets and mailings for clients
  • May assist with connecting clients to vendors, including household goods movers, rental referral, property management: maintenance, repair, utilities
  • Research (15-20%)
  • Provide research support for the business development team by reading local news and trade publications
  • Provide a weekly list of hot prospects to the team and update
  • Assist with special projects, e.g., market data, gift bags
  • Customer Care (10-15%)
  • Answer the Customer Care phone line, and refer to agents following referral management procedures
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.(0-5%)
  • Serve as a backup or provide support for client services and relocation coordinators as needed

Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate's degree in business or related field or equivalent knowledge and work experience

Experience:

  • Two to four years of business experience
  • Real estate or relocation background preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Good organization and time management skills
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills

Compensation
$40,000 - $43,000 yearly
