As a member of the commercial team, you will contribute holistically to the success of the Hungry Planet® brand and company. This includes driving sales in the immediate term, but also building brand equity with the trade and consumers, setting up the business for long-term success with distributors and customers, and contributing to improving our organizational capabilities over time.


All duties and responsibilities typically associated with the role of Brand Designer, including, but not limited to:

  • Work closely with and under the guidance of the Design Manager
  • Design trade and consumer brand collateral (within established brand identity and campaign guidelines)
  • Design content for social media
  • Edit and create new WordPress web pages as needed (within established brand identity guidelines)
  • Design packaging for new products (within established brand identity guidelines and templates)
  • Work from brand content to create versions of various pieces as needed
  • Create new trade facing materials - sell decks, sell sheets, POS
  • Attend press runs as needed - handle print production from start to finish (pre-pro to final prints)
  • Assist with photoshoots, edit images, and occasionally edit videos
  • Practice professional file management techniques
  • Occasionally edit chef and consumer videos for variety of applications (Sell decks, Trade collateral, Social, Website, etc)
  • Occasionally photograph final dishes and people eating our food for use in social and digital creative


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in design including concepting, design, and implementation
  • Must have proficiency within several Adobe Creative Cloud applications including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Ability to concept and develop creative from scratch as well as execute within established guidelines
  • Computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Google Drive,G Suite, Dropbox, and Social platforms)
  • Strong writing skills and ability to adhere to a brand voice
  • General familiarity with food/cooking, health, and wellness, as well as the language, imagery, and graphic treatment in the plant-based meat category
  • Knowledge of the latest best practices, tools, and trends as well as sponsored/partner content protocols (Facebook, Facebook Live, Instagram, Instagram Stories, IGTV, Instagram Live, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.)
  • Familiarity with motion design and video editing software preferred
  • Familiarity or interest in photography (Food photography preferred)
  • Passion for the Hungry Planet brand, mission, and culture
  • Take a very collaborative approach to problem solving and designing
  • You’re a self-starter with an ability to learn quickly, adapt, and be nimble in dynamic environment
  • You’re attentive to detail and relentless about accuracy. You’re organized, conscientious, and always thinking several steps ahead
  • You’re an excellent writer and communicator. You are professional and thoughtful in how you communicate and you understand the importance and role of brand voice
  • You’re empathetic and naturally curious. You connect easily with others and have a natural bias to understand the consumer’s mindset
  • You’re both creative and analytical. You have an eye for design and have the ability to toggle between being visually-led and analytically-led
  • You’re fluent in social media and cultural trends. You have an in-depth understanding of social media trends and culture and how authentic brands are impactful
  • You’re hungry to learn. You embrace and celebrate new challenges and seek to learn and grow from all experiences and projects. You identify new opportunities and are proactive in pursuing them
  • You’re optimistic and passionate about living with purpose. You seek to do meaningful work that makes a difference
