We are looking for a full-time real estate bookkeeper to join our expanding team! You'll be responsible for keeping our financial records organized, including tracking accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring that each account is reconciled correctly. Responsibilities

  • Prepare for quarterly reporting using standard best practices and assist in monthly closings
  • Stay on top of any needed collections and make sure our bills are paid on time
  • Post detailed journal entries to the general ledger to streamline the reconciliation process
  • Complete other accounting tasks as needed to assist the property management team
  • Review accounts payable and receivable every day to make sure invoices and xpense reports are accurate
  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance, while adhering to state laws
  • Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as-needed basis
  • Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
  • Understand and apply legal documents related to specific properties
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the team as requested
  • Perform owner disbursements and collect rents from tenants
  • Provide payments to contractors weekly and audit invoices

Qualifications

  • Experience in accounting, real estate accounting, and/or property accounting preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be extremely organized and capable of prioritizing several tasks within a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Bookkeeping experience, familiar with balance sheets and financial statements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience in Quickbooks Desktop skills
  • Knowledge of technical and professional principles and skills of accounting
  • Must be proactive, able to take initiative, follow up, and willing execute tasks and projects independently with minimum supervision
  • Experience with AppFolio is a plus
  • Experience in real estate is a plus

Compensation
$30,000 yearly
