BOOKKEEPER/OFFICE ASSISTANT OPPORTUNITY

You are an energetic, detail-oriented taskmaster who thrives on organization and getting things done! We are a growing real estate brokerage in Silver Spring, MD seeking a talented and ambitious candidate to fill our Bookkeeper/Office Assistant position. We are looking for someone with a basic accounting background to assist with daily Quickbooks accounting entries and general office administration. Duties include bookkeeping, personal and administrative assistance to the Broker/CEO and assistance with a variety of office tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

BOOKKEEPING

  • Manage Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Reporting and miscellaneous accounting tasks (est. 20 hrs/week)

GENERAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE

  • Manage CEO calendar and inbox, schedule business and personal appointments, book travel
  • Ensure the office is client-ready at all times by creating and enforcing policies for office orderliness including parking
  • Ensure office is staff and agent ready by maintaining supplies inventory and ensure printers/copiers/fax/internet service and general facilities are in working order
  • Serve as primary point of contact with office service providers 
  • Assist with on-boarding for new agents/staff 
  • Assist with various projects (benefits renewal, insurance audits/surveys, research new service providers, etc.)
  • Assist with office events set up, catering orders, etc.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Accounting major or comparable related business experience
  • Familiarity with real estate industry a plus
  • Able to work a full time (10am-6pm) onsite schedule
  • Attention to detail and ability to keep a lot of information highly organized
  • Able to meet tight deadlines
  • Positive, self-starting, with a team-player attitude
  • Highly polished and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (Google Suite, MS Office, etc.)
Compensation
$40,000 - $55,000 DOE
