POSITION OVERVIEW

The Benefits Coordinator assists with the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of benefits programs including health, welfare, wellness and other rewards.

Responsibilities

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability and wellness programs.
  • Implement approved new plans or changes to existing plans by preparing announcement materials, plan summary documents and other resources for communicating plans to employees.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Maintain contact with insurance companies, employees, and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees.
  • Draft written communication and enrollment materials, prepare for and conduct benefits conference calls, revise benefit summaries, revise benefit orientation documents, ensure distribution and receipt of documents and process changes with vendors.
  • Conduct weekly orientation for new hires to provide overview of benefits programs available and the enrollment process.
  • Drive annual open enrollment and integration of plan changes into Workday along with administration of communications and responses to questions.
  • Administration of Workday tasks related to benefits programs and life events.
  • Complete balance and validation of benefit programs each payroll cycle.
  • Manage health and wellness initiatives throughout the year to support employee engagement and overall well-being including onsite events.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors weekly to create challenges, provide webinars, and schedule other initiatives for EEs to participate in while also incentivizing for engagement.
  • Manage annual wellness budget through initiatives and strategies to promote well-being among employees.
  • Implement and provide wellness educational materials to support well-being and engagement.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to reflect effectiveness of wellness programs for employees.
  • Draft and distribute wellness communications.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

(To perform the job successfully, the candidate should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this job.)

  • 3+ years of experience with benefits administration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience with Workday HR Management System
  • 3+ years of experience in the development, communication, facilitation or support of benefits and wellness programs

PREFERRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources or equivalent experience
