The Benefits Administrator is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, 401(k), and other retirement plans). This position provides excellent customer service, monitors benefits administration, as well as assists in the analytical and technical support of the various benefits programs.

  • Provide direct and indirect, liaison, support to clients and vendors, including but not limited to, worksite employees, internal departments, and external agencies to ensure accurate and timely benefits information is disseminated to maintain satisfied clients
  • Works with the Benefits Manager, vendor, and client to ensure proper distribution of benefits material including but not limited to enrollments, terminations, COBRA administration, changes, beneficiaries, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills to ensure that productivity and quality service levels established by StaffScapes are met
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes and best practices
  • Daily collaboration with the Payroll department to assure employee deductions and benefits are correct as well as overseeing maintenance of employee eligibility within the payroll system
  • Assists with the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of invoices for all group plan
  • Engaging and effective presentation skills
  • Maintains employee benefit files and ensures accurate record-keeping including but not limited to employee information based on their elections, life status, change forms, or other benefit documents
  • Strategically work with other StaffScapes colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and build cohesive interdepartmental relationships
  • Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations affecting retirement, pension, benefit, and wellness programs, including COBRA, Section 125, HIPAA, DOL, and PPACA requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Company



  • 1-2 years working with employee benefit plans required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Is very proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Has the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate effectively through active listening as well as oral and written forms of communications
  • Ability to take care of clients’ needs while following company procedures
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills to ensure productivity levels and deadlines are met


  • This is a largely sedentary role so must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time without problems
  • Must be able to have a repetitive arm, wrist, hand, and/or finger movement to type and work on a computer
  • Occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to use close vision and ability to focus including but not limited to reading/proofing various material, and looking at a computer screen
  • The position will require the ability to lift 25lbs 

$21 - $25 hourly
