Our successful hotel is seeking a dedicated banquet manager who is eager to provide our guests with an unforgettable event experience. You'll work directly with guests to book banquet space and provide options that meet their needs and budgets. We require someone with exceptional leadership abilities to manage banquet staff and ensure that our hotel services are of the highest quality. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with 3+ years of hospitality experience, preferably in a management role, and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Document the outcome of each event to assess and make improvements on future events and processes
- Communicate all event orders to on-site banquet staff members, so they are aware of their roles and obligations
- Ensure a quality product is provided by communicating with clients about banquet event options that match their budget, and go over any adjustments, questions, or concerns
- Develop policies, procedures, quality standards, and cost-saving measures within the department to continuously improve the customer-focused banquet area
- Coordinate the daily operations of the banquet area and ensure you are providing an exceptional level of service by purchasing supplies, managing event space set-up, and setting proper staffing levels for events
Qualifications
- Over 3 years experience managing a team in a hospitality role, preferably in a food service capacity
- Possess excellent computer skills, especially MS Office -Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
- Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Higher education degree in hospitality or hospitality management is a plus
