Our growing dealership seeks an Automotive General Sales Manager ready to hit the ground running to close deals and maintain sales profitability. We need a natural leader who has a strong work ethic and exemplary customer service skills to coach our talented team of sales professionals to the next level. You’ll work with them to generate leads, conduct successful follow-ups with prospective customers, and close deals. Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high level of customer satisfaction in all vehicle transactions in an effort to boost customer retention and referrals
  • Direct day-to-day showroom operations to establish a positive environment for customers and employees, alike
  • Track sales efforts by maintaining an accurate record of customer data within the CRM system
  • Coach sales staff on best practices for improving performance, conducting effective follow-up, closing deals, and meeting and exceeding sales goals
  • Monitor progress to forecasted sales quotas on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to maintain profitability
Qualifications
  • Must have strong leadership, organizational, financial, sales management, computer, and communications skills
  • At least five years of experience working at a car dealership with one or more years as a sales department manager or other management position is preferred
  • Requires expert working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations on auto sales and the automotive industry, overall
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Mandatory high school diploma or GED equivalent - highly qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree
Compensation
$140,000+ yearly

Who is Grote Automotive? Fred Grote has been in the car business for over 25 years. He opened his 1st store in Fort Wayne, IN in 2008. Growing from 25 cars a month to 200 he opened a 2nd store in Warsaw, IN. After Great success there his 3rd store came to Rockford, IL. The 4th and 5th stores have just arrived in IN in 2022 as well. We opened here in December of 2020 and have been growing FAST. We specialize in solving transportation problems that most dealerships can't. We plan to open 2 more stores in 2022!
