The compensation package includes base salary plus bonus compensation for production and performance. We are in the process of getting eye, dental, health, and disability insurance. 8 paid holidays and 11 days of personal time off. We also pay for continuing legal education, bar dues, and some approved voluntary bar memberships.


  • Handle probate and guardianship litigation files with little to no supervision, including evidentiary hearings and trials.
  • Responsible for own caseload of files
  • Familiar with probate rules and statutes, including court local rules for different counties within Florida
  • Familiar with and handle probate statewide in Florida
  • Court appearances will be required
  • Able to handle contested probate and guardianship and motion calendar hearings
  • Consult with clients and develop estate plans
  • Drafting of estate planning documents
  • Tracking of billable hours
  • Management of case status and report to supervising attorney on a weekly basis
  • Regularly update clients on the status of the case
  • A go-getter with a strong work ethic
  • Special Needs and Medicaid planning if preferred, but not required.


  • 3 to 5 years of probate and guardianship litigation and estate planning experience in Florida
  • Ability to handle contested probate and guardianship litigation matters with little to no supervision
  • J.D. from accredited law school
  • LL.M preferred, but not required
  • Active Florida Bar license
