Specifically, we are looking for a Debt Lawsuit Defense Attorney and a Consumer Rights Attorney. The prime candidates will work seamlessly with both senior partners as well as administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve our clients. Debt Lawsuit Defense: We are looking for an entry-level attorney with a general understanding of civil litigation to lead our 2nd Debt Lawsuit Defense team. Our senior paralegal and Managing Civil Attorney will train you to handle these cases from start to finish.
Consumer Rights: We are seeking a seasoned civil litigation attorney, well-versed in taking cases from pre-lit to trial (pleadings, motions, dispositive motions, discovery, depositions, mediations, settlement negotiations, trial prep, etc.).
- Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
- Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
- Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff
- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
- Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required
- Able to work independently while handling multiple files
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment
- Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred
- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
