The Piedmont Group, located in Birmingham, AL, is hiring for the Associate Financial Advisor role. If you are currently a Financial Advisor who is seeking a new firm to work for, or if you are starting a new career in finance, this is an opportunity for you. Start or grow, your existing practice by working with our marketing department, underwriters, support staff, and experienced coaches. • Consider clients’ life stage, professional circumstances, and changing financial needs when developing tailored financial plans to suit their needs
• Seek, identify, and secure strong relationships with new clients by serving as their trusted financial advisor
• Be a coachable, organized team member interested in pursuing training development and educational opportunities
• Provide strategic recommendations for products, plans, investments, and other methods to help clients achieve financial goals

• We are a non-captive firm.
• Our Financial Advisors have control of their business and protection with their existing clients.
• We provide structured mentorship, joint work partners, underwriters, new business development dept, in-house compliance, and seasoned management planners to support you and your client's needs.

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, financial planning software, Google Suite, and other tools strongly preferred
• Stellar communication and math skills complemented by a proven track record of building strong client relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Baseline knowledge about financial industry concepts, financial products, and the role of a financial advisor is desired

• Up to date licensing (LAH, Series 6,7, and 66) or willing to obtain within 6 months is preferred and eventually required.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or other related field is preferred but not required
• If you have no prior experience in finance but are a top performer in your field this position does not exclude you.
