Brighter Day Law

Associate Attorney (Associate) must have a strong commitment to achieving excellent results for Brighter Day Law (Firm) clients through competent advocacy, by demonstrating effective and efficient problem solving and communication on all client matters.

Associate is a litigation advocate who represents Firm clients in court cases and other kinds of adversarial legal proceedings, such as arbitrations and mediations. Must be proficient with court pleadings and court processes, generally well-spoken, and comfortable presenting cases in front of judges, magistrates, and arbiters.

Associate must communicate the strategy for each client matter clearly and concisely, and is responsible for demonstrating leadership skills, possessing excellent oral advocacy skills, and exhibiting writing and negotiation skills.

Associate is expected to work well with other attorneys, staff, and clients by functioning from a mindset of “value add” when it comes to problem-solving, being willing to rally with other attorneys and staff to meet an end goal when necessary, being present emotionally, mentally, and physically for team members and clients, and able to be “in it” with people without being rattled. Associate is expected to show clients compassion while practicing intentional detachment from chaos and should remain confident and unbothered by the opposition.

Associate must also be flexible and adaptable, unfettered by a fast-paced work environment, and able to adopt the attitude that we are sometimes “building the bicycle as we ride it.”

Associate is expected to respond to stress in a controlled, confident, and composed manner when managing their individual caseload and while working with others. Associate is expected to speak to clients, other attorneys, and staff in a professional and controlled tone and pace
