We are seeking a highly-skilled, excellent, and all-around wonderful human being to serve as an Associate Attorney.

The position can be served remotely, and it will require travel to The Florida Keys for court hearings.

Responsibilities

  • Case Management. Serve as the primary attorney with nearly complete autonomy in representing defendants in County Court and Circuit Court in Key West, Marathon, and Plantation Key.
  • Client Counseling. Regularly communicate with clients regarding their unique life goals and dreams, so we can craft a legal strategy to ensure those dreams come to fruition.
  • Recordkeeping. Maintain client files and notes in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Court Hearings. Attend all court hearings - in-person or virtual - and provide top-notch advocacy.
  • Legal Writing. Draft persuasive motions and supervise and approve the paralegal's drafting of notices and basic motions practice.
  • Teamwork. Embrace your role in our legal department and collaborate with our marketing team, intake team, and legal assistants.

Qualifications
  • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school

  • At least three years experience in criminal defense.

Compensation
$70,000 - $85,000 yearly
