KE Law Group is seeking a full-time associate attorney position. We are looking for an energetic and motivated professional to join our team and serve the Jacksonville and NE Florida area where we have a large concentration of established clients. Attorney location can be anywhere within an hour's drive of Jacksonville. Our clients include many of the largest landowners, builders, and communities in the state of Florida. Our firm offers remote and hybrid work options to best serve our clients and attract top talent. We have offices in Tallahassee and the Tampa Bay area and are planning to open a Jacksonville office in the near future. The ideal candidate would have experience (or a keen interest) in working with public entities, including cities, counties, and/or special districts, and a demonstrated interest in local government law, real estate, policy, business, and public finance.

• Draft transactional documents necessary for client operation, including correspondence, contracts, memorandums of understanding, sale agreements, financing documents, procurement packages, construction documents, and associated work
• Collaborate with clients and project team to accomplish goals set by the Board of Supervisors
• Attend court hearings, perform legal research, and work with other attorneys to provide legal advice, counsel, and mentoring
• Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
• Provide policy counsel and representation on a wide range of issues facing local governments
• Attend public client meetings on a frequent basis in the state of Florida and provide legal advice/counsel at same

• Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
• Successful completion and passing of the Florida bar exam
• Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
• High academic marks and strong policy/business acumen a must
• Must be a Florida Bar Member in good standing
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Transactional experience is strongly preferred
• Prior experience in litigation, construction, and public finance is valued
• Land use, construction law, real estate, and public contracting experience are useful
