Our law firm is looking for the next Associate Attorney to assist in providing legal counsel to our clients. You will work closely with our senior partners and associates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files. If you’ve recently graduated from law school, have excellent fact-finding and communication skills, and are ready to jump-start your career in the legal industry, we want to hear from you!

  • Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently
  • Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations
  • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action
  • Perform legal research, prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel under the supervision of senior associate attorneys
  • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff

Real Estate Practice

  • Analysis, drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, real estate loan documents, and title documents
  • Review closing statements prepared by our closing team or other closing agents to ensure accuracy
  • Troubleshooting title or closing issues in a creative and efficient way with our closing team, underwriters, governmental entities, and parties
  • Conducting closings
  • Answering questions from the parties that have been escalated by the closing team
  • Ensure clients meet their contractual deadlines and assist in protecting their escrow

Estates and Trusts

  • Client meetings and conducting signing ceremonies
  • Drafting estate planning documents and other transactional documents

  • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
  • Active membership with the American Bar Association (ABA)
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
  • Successful completion of the bar exam
  • Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base

  • Being admitted to practice law in Florida is required
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior experience as a transactional (non-litigation) attorney is required
  • You must be creative and think outside the box when providing solutions and strategies
  • You own your work and take pride in being an excellent counselor to clients
  • Excellent Spanish, verbal and written, is strongly preferred
  • You must have excellent spelling and grammar
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are required to avoid mistakes that can cost clients (and us) dearly. This is important. Make sure that this is a skill that you are known for
  • You will be working on many matters concurrently, over long periods of time. We expect you to keep track of key dates, keep the right people informed, and prioritize your time so that we never miss a deadline
  • You must be able to think on your feet
  • You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, understanding that other team members will be relying on your ability to move things through the pipeline
  • We are a fast-paced law firm that needs team members who work well under pressure.
