Our law firm has a full-time associate attorney position available now and we’re looking for the right professional to join our team. You will have the opportunity to learn from senior associates and litigation associates on legal issues and will provide legal counsel to existing clients. You’ll also be responsible for performing legal research, drafting documents, and keeping client files up to date. • Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
• Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice
• Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, and contracts to be used proceedings and contract negotiations
• Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
• Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action

• Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
• Learn and follow firm policies and procedures
• Meet monthly billable hour requirements
• Representing clients in court appearances

• Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)
• Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients
• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
• Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
• Candidates must have passed the bar exam

• Must have State of Georgia bar license in good standing
• At least 2 years of family law experience required
• At least 1 year of probate experience preferred
• Enjoys working for and with people of diverse, ethnic, racial, and religious background
• Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills are required in order to work with clients, staff members, and other attorneys
• Ability to work through a case from open to close
